On behalf of the Transition and Real Choices program no words can express our sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support you have shown to Block Middle School. Your story has blessed many students in our program and we have seen a change in several students. By you coming out on several occasions to speak and check on our students, you have shown them that there are people who care. I want to thank you for coming and speaking to our class. It affected me because I see that you went from nothing to something. You changed your life around and I know I can do the same. I know I need to change my life around because I am in this class for fighting over something so petty. You actually had me thinking hard about my life. I am going to try my hardest to get my credits and get out of this class. Hopefully if you ever come back, I can tell you my story.

I most certainly enjoyed your speech. I liked it a lot because you got to me on several things. I like listening to speakers like you because I go through a lot at home but I hold it all in then let it out on the wrong people. Coach you told us that we say we go through a lot but to you it’s nothing because you have been through worse. I am going to be honest. I really don’t listen to anybody at school. I am loud, disrespectful at times, but I seriously feel like changing a little since I heard your speech. I look forward to seeing you again.

I was really inspired by your story. It made me feel better about myself. Also it made me think about choosing better friends and always be mindful of what I say to people. I heard you speak for the second time and the first time it didn’t impact me as much. Now that I am older and more mature I feel like it made an impact on me to do better for myself.
